Regrets

by Unrequited   Feb 13, 2005

A life of sadness and sin
leaves my soul lifeless on the ground
pain that never goes away
fills the breathless air
forever i will be
haunted in my thoughts
the love that i need to feel
left me alone today

spyders tear at my skin
it would go to waste anyways
for i don’t even care
motionless i lie
for soon i will die
unless you care enough
to pick me up off the ground
my only hope

wolves cry out to the moon
just as i cry out to you
the visions i see
so clearly now
stop them from happening,
i wish i knew how
shadows walk out the door
but the creatures come at me for more
look into my eyes
…my only hope

i wish you’d tell me how you felt
confusion fills my head
poke at my body
can i still hear you?
i hope you care enough to wonder
all i can hear is the clasp of thunder
you can hold me in your arms, if you want
but i’m no longer here

you can love, you can pray
you can wish that i were here today
but please do not cry
for me

The emotion was definitely there. Your words brought out the meaning. Nicely done.
