That angry song

by Unrequited   Feb 13, 2005

The minutemen in wars of time
pay our pensive acts
the fruitful nature of our ways
die in light that is no more
we try to lie in waking light
as dark snow melts the earth
the pain we gain on mystery lane
makes us feel alive
but want to die in turn

the girl that writes the angry song
will one day be no more
but yet she keeps her pencil busy
till death do them part
angelic themes of good and grace
will bring the lovers home
to dance away the hours of night
and forget they die tomorrow

tho they know the end is near
in the dark they do not flinch
for when God says your day is done
you must pray for mercies true
now you hold her without fright
for all you need is her
and all we need is love-

now we die in peace
