No Sight, No Right

by ♥-Sharon Ardern-♥   Feb 14, 2005

I went for a walk
To try and clear my head
But suddenly a voice began to talk
And I listened to that instead

It told me to try and find peace
So I went but found it was about to close
It wouldn't be granted for me, no release
And then on the ground I saw a single red rose

I reached for it but it's thorns made me bleed
And I couldn't hold it, it's beauty tricked me
The voice told me that what I need
Is to believe it hadn't picked me

I just happened to be the one to find it
And if I get knocked down in distress
I mustn't find someone to be behind it
I just have to tidy up the mess

And so when I searched the place
To find peace, they were open again
They put a smile back upon my face
And showed me how naive I was back then.
