The Name On Her Hand

by Kylie   Feb 14, 2005

Eraser marks all over the page
Her pencil lead broken once again from the rage
She wants to say something clever but she's running out of time
There's no way to express all she feels with just a rhyme

Her emotions are constant, overwhelming, yet stable
Deciphering feeling from fact, this child is unable
This goes beyond a simple heartbreak,no, words cannot describe
It's become a casual routine, to herself she must lie

Night never comes soon enough, she's always ready to dream
That's the only time she's happy, no matter how unreal they seem
She does all she knows to do, yet the emptiness expands
She tries so hard to forget, but his name is forever on her hand...
