I wish you could see me the way I see you
I wish I could be your white knight shining through
I wish you could stop all the games and charades
I wish you would show me the attention I’ve paid

I wish you would be mine for even just one night
I wish I could show you the stars shinning so bright
I wish I could be there as the sun starts its rise
I wish I could see all your dreams through your eyes

I wish upon stars on dark lonely nights
I wish so hopefully things will work out alright
I wish you could see me for just who I am
I wish you would tell me I’m your kind of man
