The Last Dance

by Easily Forgotten   Feb 18, 2005

I come in the doors and see you there
Into your dark brown eyes I stare

You walk over slowly and ask me to dance
Finally together we have our chance

We dance so closely not wanting it to end
But when the song stops we'll go to our friends

You'll go to yours and I to mine
I'm still staring over as if you shine

When finally on comes the last dance
So quickly over to you i glance

I start walking over quick in pace
Still staring at your gentle face

But the last dance wasn't mine you see
It belonged to her instead of me

I will never ever forget that dance
The time we were given our chance

The time i spent in the bathroom too
Crying helplessly over you

Instead of me she was given the chance
To be with you on the last dance.
