It's The Shadow

by sarah   Feb 19, 2005

A darkness overcomes
Where light was once seen from
Objects all around disappear
Like they are gone of fear
Scared from no light
Now alone everything out of sight
Surrounded by complete sorrow
the world suddenly seems so hollow
(it’s the shadow)
All the opened options are gone
Heard from afar is a shriek song
The sound is soft then becomes loud
It makes a beat then pounds
The song becomes soft as a pillow
It finally becomes dim and mellow
(it’s the shadow)
Crowded with not much space
No light to see your own face
Your skin carries bumps
The way the floor has lumps
The ground begins to shake
Hard materials start to brake
Things start to fall
Suddenly a harsh call
You can hear screams from below
Sounds like a man a young fellow
(it’s the shadow)
The shadow,
The one that follows . . .
You everywhere
The one that haunts
Your from door to door
the one that makes the weirdest noise
Who stands with great complementary poise
When on the verge of loosing it
It makes a disastrous fit
It scares you and you run
But it catches up and has some fun
It rips your soul out and eats your heart
It takes your hands and rips them apart
Your scream for God is not loud enough
It is not true and is hard and rough
Finally you mean it and he takes your hand
On his fingertip you stand
As everyone sees you, you speak his word
You say it loud as everyone has heard
Now you know there is only two ways to go
Heaven or hell
I took the righteous bell
God is my savior I will speak
Instead of burn in hell and have my soul reek

Please Comment! thanks!
