To Christy

by Tanya, Mom of one.   Feb 19, 2005

I came across a girl on day,
She moved in next to me.
I met her at the door with a drink in my hand,
Said no to the beer she offered me.

I didn't know who she was,
I never seen her around,
Little did I know what I was about to find,
The best friend I'd ever found.

A lot of friends come, and a lot go,
Barely leaving their mark.
Me and her hit it off,
Right from the very start.

If she was a guy, I'd marry her.
She never lets you down,
She has a way of turning your thoughts,
And getting rid of that frown.

She laughs at you when its OK,
She waits to laugh when its not.
She politely hangs up with a goodbye,
Before she starts slinging snot!
(From laughing too hard)

She can handle her beer, and her liquor,
I've never seen her puke but once,
Even tho I've seen her crawl to her door,
What a funny sight that was!

Thats OK tho, she's seen me worse,
She even carried me home and put me to bed,
Gave me a pot to puke in,
Laid it right beside my head.
(picture it, me with a cooking pot in my bed)

I could go on with the drunk scenes,
They are better left in the past,
Just to let you know Christy,
Your still the best friend I've ever had!

love ya hon!
