Protection from the World

Before me stands a lion with wings
Someone’s too near and forward he springs
Beats down the foe and guards me from fear
He’s my protection when evil draws near

Rumbling roars around him run
Makes being upset a sad kind of fun
Even the worst are chased away
I just hope it’s with me he will stay

**This is fantaasy but it isn't really dark, maybe miscellaneous would have been better but this is where i've put it**

    I like it; the poem has an eerie feel
    to it. A lion with wings that beats
    you down, that’s dark. Even darker
    if he is not with you then ? then again
    maybe it’s like the beauty and the beast
    a love fantasy reality. Excellent story
    telling, I have enjoyed the read, well
    done keep written. ( :p
