Honesty hurts

All the lies underneath the happy eyes..
all the pain, behind the smiling eyes..
how long can you wear this mask?
how long can you pretend for?
what more will it take before you have to let go?
we push away the ones that we love!
and the ones that hurt us in our soul!
the sky's are grey and the universe is black, in this world full of hate i feel like i have no place!
the truth hurts, why the fake smile?
i can see you've been crying behind all your laughter!
you can't hide it any longer..
the pain, the hate and your sarrows grow upon your face within each passing day!
your begining to let go, dont take the easy way out, stay for a bit more...prove everyone wrong!!
show them how strong you really are!

    U know I really like this poem, for real. This poem is different from your others, it has so much more feling I think. Maybe because it is honest, it tells the truth, and like your title says honesty hurts. I love your question, how long can you wear this mask? which to me points fingers alt of people. I think this is your best poem.

    the sky's are grey and the universe is black, in this world full of hate i feel like i have no place! that is maybe one of the most powerful lines i have ever read in a poem. i really really like this. keep up the good work
