Turn away

by Kendra   Feb 21, 2005

Look, there she is,
Quick, turn away,
Pretend we did not notice her,
Walk the other way.

If she sees us staring,
Quick, turn away,
Pretend we did not notice her,
Look the other way.

She sits there in her corner,
All alone, every day,
And when we walk past her,
We giggle and we play.

Does it make her jealous,
To see us every everyday,
Whispering and chattering,
As we giggle and we play?

Why does she just sit there,
All alone, everyday?
Where did all her friends go,
Do they look the other way?

Why isn't she crying,
As she sits there every day?
Doesn’t she want to chatter too,
To giggle and to play?

Maybe she doesn't care,
When we look the other way,
Maybe she likes to be alone,
Sat there everyday.

Maybe she has no feelings,
Maybe she prefers it this way,
Maybe she will now live in sorrow,
Until her dying day…
