Hide

by Kendra   Feb 21, 2005

The glare of the streetlights reflect in her eyes
The rain hides the tears as she silently cries
She says she can't take anymore of my lies

No point in trying if she's made up her mind
I just wish it wasn't everything she left behind
She was the only true love I will ever find.

This isn't one of those fights that turn out okay
She tells me she's leaving forever the next day
There's nothing I can do now to make her stay.

She turns and walks without saying goodbye
Leaving me standing there in the rain to cry
My dreams fall along with rain from the sky.

After a while I turn round and go back inside
I take pills out the cupboard, swallow my pride
I drift away into a new world where I can hide..
