Slipping

by kristen   Feb 21, 2005

We worked so hard to get where we are,
our first kiss was amazing,
and each one better than the last.
it was all like a fairy tale,
i walked around for months in a daze.
we made the world jealous,
and everything was great.

But soon we began to fight,
we got to know the real one another,
and the claus came out.
soon jealousy became an issue,
and the kisses weren't so sweet.
reality crashed down hard and fast,
now i'm not sure how much longer we'll last.

it hurts to hold on,
but not as much as the thought of letting go,
i think of what we used to have,
and wonder where it went,
my heart aches to think about it.
i don\'t want to let go,
but my grip is starting to slip.
