The past has come to haunt me

Today i think about all i have done
The past and the present, the mistakes i have made
I just wish they all would go away
So i could start fresh without the regrets
No one really knows much about me
They only know the little bit that i have told them
I wish i knew how to take off this mask
I wish i could show the true me
I wish i could tell him how i feel
Although sometimes it feels like everything is alright
Then i turn and look at him knowing i may never be able to feel his warm embarce
A tear slides down the side of my face
One for my mistakes
Another for every lie i have ever told
Another for the deaths
And one for you, i just wish you could know how much i love you and i wish that you would give me a chance
I wish my past was never there so you wouldnt have anything to blame me for
So you could just love me for me and wouldnt have to think about what happened on that day
