In The End

by sami   Feb 22, 2005

When she looks in the mirror
What does she see?
Just another prep or goth wannabe?
Another life gone down the drain
Like a drowning rat out in the rain

Why does like have to be like that?
You just try your best and your world goes splat
Everything gets messed up again
You try to fix your life, but then
What's the point of even trying?

All this stealing and hurtful lying
When you make it to the top
You'll just fall back down
And eventually you're just going to drown
In all your sorrow and sinful shame

But in the end whose to blame?
The ones who hurt you when you tried to be cool?
Or your parents who made you look like a fool?

It never crosses her mind
That she's the one
Who messed up her life
Until she reached for that gun

Then gun that will end all the misery
but does she have the guts or fury
To ruin the life that she leads?
The gun drops from her hands as she bleeds

Every drop of blood takes the pain away
And in the end life has it's way
