Night of the Wolf

by ♥~Kitty-Kat~♥   Feb 22, 2005

I wander through the deep,
Wondering why is it that I weep,
This forest is now a char,
My pack has run afar.

Still wandering through the night,
Looking for the one I fight,
The evil that set this fire,
Was a man in camouflaged attire.

I still hear my crying mate,
Of my packs howling fate,
I am in a furied run,
Thinking what could I have done.

I see a light beyond the cliff below,
I run as fast as my pads will go,
I get to the near end,
Just wishing he was the one dead.

I see he left his fire going,
I will wait till the dawn of morning,
To make my move upon his fate,
For he will see what he’s done to my mate.

It is now the mist of the sun,
I am ready to get this done,
I hear him stirring around,
My muscles are starting to pound.

He rises up in the rays,
Walks over to the fire and preys,
I creep up until he sees,
This broken wolves means.

He knows why I am here,
I see the look of fear,
There is no where to hide,
I have no more time to bide.

I run up and tackle this evil,
He stares at me and I know he feels,
The pain inside my heart,
That’s ripped up and torn apart.

I throw myself off of him,
I have aches in every limb,
He sees me trot off in the distant glare,
And now he knows not to dare.

Mess with a wolf and his mate,
Or he will see his fate,
If you mess with a wolves pack,
You better watch your back!
