"Simplistic Splendor"

by ¤©h€€®ƒüll¥♥©¥ñ!c@l¤   Feb 24, 2005

Such a serene and peaceful place
Filled with simplistic splendor
Mother Nature’s wonders
So quiet, still and tender

All you can hear in this area
Is the water’s constant drip
Falling of the edge of a small overhang
Like the tenderness of two lips

Into the petite pond the water swirls
White foam contained in
Heaping over the jagged rocks
So sharp to pierce your skin

The surroundings are so quiet
Overgrown with lush life
A true place of inspiration
To take away all of your strife

Grasses so tall, they seem to scrape
The clear blue-sky above
Swaying back and forth hesitantly
Majestic even for a pure white dove

Flowers blooming awakening your senses
Shades of pinks, yellows and whites
Hints of spring are everywhere
Bees buzzing with such delight

Such a serene and peaceful place
Filled with simplistic splendor
Mother Nature’s wonders
So quiet, still and tender
