One Cut Away

The sound of silence
Screams in my head
All the pain courses through my veins
with every single heartbeat
the pain grows too strong
what way do i have left to carry on?
this razor against my vein?
it yearns to set the pain free
open up the skin
spill the blood
release this pain, my pain
but the pain is never fading
my incessant cuts just dull the pain
it gets worse and worse
i sit and watch the river flow
the red river down my arm
the whirlpool down the drain
i try to hide it
is that right?
is this my only cry for help?
the long sleeves just conceal
the crimson red stains beneath
how long do i have?
will this pain cease?
or am i just one cut away
from ending this pain forever
