About a Boy

by Leah   Feb 25, 2005

In a boarded up box,
Lays his spirit,
His soul...

A birth defect on his part,
Takes an unwanted toll...

Never,
Will he be able to walk,

Only inside,
In himself,
He can talk...

Rejection amoung,
Everyone,
Everything.

In his cold lonely heart,
He's longing to sing.

In the ways of his genetics,
Disfigured blood flows,
The unwanted creature,
In his throat,
Always wanting to crow...

He sleeps soundly,
Knowing,
His shattered soul,
Will forever be guarded...

This is the life of a boy,
Who's mentally retarded...
