Living in Darkness

by Orion   Feb 25, 2005

(This is a take off of a game I play)

I woke up again to face the night
And the horrors that come with it
My life was fine until I died,
From the poisons where I was bit.

I was a normal person, like that guy there
Until that night I can just scarcely recall

It was a date like any other...
Dinner and a dance,
I'd never seen this woman before,
But I figured this was my chance-
To find someone who could deal
With such a man of romance.

As she walked in, I knew it was my luck
Her fingers were gnarled, and she walked like a duck.
I smiled and laughed and told her my name
Wishing this night would end sooner
It wasn't until later until I was the creature I became
I knew what she was trying

The night went on without much fun
This girl was alright
But was afraid of the sun.
She asked me to take her home
Before it was too late

"Oh great," I thought, as we climbed into my car
"At least this girl is only here tonight."
How wrong I was, I soon found out
With that tiny little bite.

I looked over and saw her grinning
In a sickly expression I can't explain
She leaned over and bit my neck
And I felt an excruciation pain

The car veered off and hit a tree
"That's odd," I said, "I don't feel pain."
"That comes later deary," she said.
"You are now a child of Caine."

So now I find myself lost in the void of darkness
Fearing the sun and fire
Ever since that fatal kiss,
When I became a vampire
