Sliding into Insanity

by Julia   Feb 25, 2005

Every smile had its sob,
Every laugh had its last,

Her joy was never lasting,
The moments just passed,

Time was insanity,
Gliding so fast...

How could they know?
How could they see?
She had sealed her own lips,
And thrown out the key...

Yet there was no way to express,
No way to believe:

She lived in a world
Beyond reality,
Where time was merely as waves,
Crashing at the will of the sea...

Where dreams seemed so real,
While as lies, a way to flee,

And they could never know,
For she would never let them see;
How often she had left,
And slid into insanity...

Then once came a day,
When they shattered those dreams,
She opened her mouth,
They silenced her screams...

Then thrusted her to the cold floor
Of their harsh reality...

Slave of time, she would never be,
Leaving a crimson gown stained of red,
She had streamed out her last plead:
She had fled....
