Unanswered Wish

Once I wished upon a star
To guide me through my journey
On the right path of life.

It twinkled at night, so glittery, so bright
Yet it was cruel, unkind...
I had not even started on my long walk
But I already died.

I was devastated; I was heartbroken
And the star still twinkled
It was mocking me.

Why they say a wish on a star
Is always answered, I have no idea
Everything is as cruel as life was...and still is.
