Darkness of my Heart

by BrokenMisery   Feb 26, 2005

What happens to innocent minds?
Until it carries the pain it hides…

Glass cutting deep within
Her tortured soul breaking the skin
Darkened knots begin to form
Holding together
Until the break of dawn
Masks hiding the effects
Breaking free, the light reflects
the dark of your truth

And I'm broken
but you don't care
held beneath
the pain I bear
The cobwebs painted through my head
Strangle me, until I'm dead
In the darkness of my heart

Watch the stars fall from the skies
Hear the screams of desolate minds
Touch the wounds, the scars don't heal
Hold the heart that was never real
See the pain that you have caused
Taste the darkened blood it pours

What happens to innocent minds?
Until nothing's left but bloodied lies
Stop hurting me from the hell you tease
I'm down, broken upon my knees

And I'm broken
but you don't care
held beneath
the pain I bear
The cobwebs painted through my head
Strangle me, until I'm dead
In the darkness of my heart

I'm broken
But you will never care
Broken under
Your torture I bear
I'm not apart of your game
You turn joy to pain
From my broken heart
