Suicide and a Volatile Obsession

by BrokenMisery   Oct 7, 2006

You bar-coded my personality
And filed me away
(for a rainy day where perhaps I could be useful)

Coaxing me
Fed spoonfuls of medicine,
As substitute for morning coffee
Or unfaithful sex

The loneliness becomes the temperamental
The next midday alcohol
Bringing to drunkenness to deal with the moon
To the next sin that will send me to hell.
------------------ I read my bible for forgiveness
For the lord proclaimed
I am the way (the road of potholes)
The (bent) truth
And the life (followed with death)

I took a picture of your eyes, framed it
And pasted it on the cover of the book
To remind me
I'm bound only by your eyes,
Controlled by your purity,
Waiting to be cleaned
Like the leaves from your gutter.
