That Day

She never spoke a word about her troubles
She pretended everything was all right
But when they pulled her out from the rubble
She didn't put up a fight
They said she would die
And everyone was sad
But she couldn't lie
Deep inside she was glad
She died that day
Not from her injuries
But from a sharp knife
And that day ended her life.
