Each night before i go to bed
i get down on bended knee
and thank the lord above
for sending you to me

I'm not sure what i did
to deserve someone like you
someone so perfect
so loving and so true

with just a simple word
you brighten up my day
you take away my pain
with just the words you say

you've been there when i needed to talk
even late into the night
you've been there to hold me
when nothing was going right

you've been there through the laughter
