I want you by my side,
As more then just a friend.
I want to hear you say, you love me,
That you will until the the end.
I want to be the one you hold,
The one that you can't live without.

I don't want to see you hurting,
Over the girl you lost
Instead I want to be the girl you have.
I want to be able to tell you that
I will always be there.
Instead I am here listening
about her who left.

I know you need time to heal.
That I will gladly give you.
I will be there to listen,
There to be a friend.
But promise after some time
It will be me not her, that you love.
