Special Shoes

What is the worth
of a pair shoes?
No one can know
until they've been used.
Shoes come in so
many shapes and sizes.
Each one holding
their own surprises.

There is a story, of
a special pair of shoes.
That wandered all over,
with nothing to lose.
These shoes were lonely
and honest, quite sad.
So much was forgotten,
of all that they had.

But still they traveled
to find something more.
A place to roam,
and lands to explore.
Never forgetting
the stories they knew.
Never forgetting
what they had been through.

A long lasting journey
for those special shoes.
It's only too bad
they had never been used.
A shoe with no story,
is worthless to me.
So why not just
end its misery?

Hated and lost
the shoes disappeared.
No one cried,
not one single tear.
So they were forgotten,
it was only some shoes.
Nobody cares if they
had never been used.
