Lady Isadora the Fair

by Dorotea©   Feb 28, 2005

Smooth white pearls decorating her locks of hair
She looks over the sea, Lady Isadora so fair
“Where art thou my dearest?” she whispers over the waves
He’s riding the waves whilst his kingdom he saves

“My lovely my beautiful, Isadora the fair,”
“I’ll be returning soon so our love we can share”
He fights with all might the enemy so strong
Whilst the waves bring to him Isadora’s love song

“Come back to me soon for I cannot wait”
“The love we share is the sweetest of fate”
Lady Isadora so beautiful, lined with grace
Over the waves sends her love a napkin of lace

“Why has thy song ended, my beautiful one?”
“Our love will soon be for all to see in the sun”
Though with his body he fights the enemy of his country
His heart is with Isadora, the fair of Sicily

“I love you I love you, you know that I do”
“Our love will forever last and be true”
She sings her sweet song over the sea’s crystal waters
With the wind sends the sweet love of hers

“I’m coming I’m coming, my sweetest, my love”
This message reaches Isadora’s heart brought by a dove
He fights his last enemy with pride in the sun
“My sweetest my love the battle is done”

Over the waves you will soon see him return
And then will the country be safe with no concern
But when he returns, Isadora the fair
She’ll kiss him and of him take the sweetest care
