His smile caught my eye
and he was gorgeous at the time
i could see us being together
that same night he was mine

then that feeling came over me
his name lights up your phone
then 3 days later you meet again
and its just you two alone

i knew he had it made
from all the things he used to tell
but what he didn't know
was that i had it made as well.

He thought this would impress me
instead i just saw straight through
he saw nothing beyond his material
the way that i wished him to.

but i had certain rules
my game wasn't easy to play
further he wanted me to go
why do guys have to be this way?

I knew i didn't want to let go
but i did it for the best
why stay if he only wants one thing
I'm sorry I'm not like his ex.

friendship was my proposal
he agreed that it was fine
so we caught up As Friend's
was it I that crossed the line?

it was clear that he was hinting
so i played hard to get
i didn't want to get hurt again
but somehow our lips had met

My mind was so confused
What was that? i pulled away
in the poring rain i looked at him
he said,i don't know and walked away.

i thought he hated me before
friendship was what i had said
did that kiss mean anything to him?
or he just screwing with my head?...again
