You'r like a rose
You make people cry
you change peoples lives
and you make emotions soar high

living a life
of colorful beauty
opening your petals
can be lifes duty

sun is dancing
your shadow around
loving your color
yet still bound to the ground

closing your petals
only at night
when the sun rises each morning
your petals are all in sight

loving the sun

as each day goes by

contained in a vase
