To fear,
Not being near enough to one person,
Is to love,
With your heart out of reach, above.
To give in,
To the sweetest temptations of his skin,
And to fall,
Knowing you will never regret it at all.
Say my name,
And I can never speak the same.
Our eyes meet,
And my blackened heart skips a beat.
I can't tell,
Is this heaven's grace, or hell?
As I sigh,
You hold me close while I die.
Destined for despair,
From the moment the flames began to flare.
Crash and burn,
For your fingertips and lips I yearn,
Lying awake,
With all the pretty smiles she now has to fake.
He's moved on,
Left her love abandoned and gone.
To her, it lives,
And she's still willing to forgive.
So far away,
He's never coming back to stay.
He is her world,
But he's met another girl.
She's so afraid,
That this new spark will fray the braids.
The pain bleeds,
Just one touch is all she needs.
She will know,
And believe when he says he loves her so,
She'll hold on,
Until every memory is dead and gone.
