Not Just a Memory

by Laura   Mar 1, 2005

Tears splashing on the pillow
because of what he is doing to me
his hand running up my leg
i close my eyes so i cant see

the torture he is putting me through
because I'm helpless lying there
he says its going to be OK
but what he's doing just isn't fair

finally he leaves my room
but the pain still lives on
for him its just a memory
but for me its never gone.

Harsh topic, if it's about you then you have my sympathies.

Em, i terms of poetic advice, i thought the flow of the words seemed a little curt in places, like the second line of the second stanza seemed to end a few syllables too early.

Do you read your poems out to see how they sound?....i always do...just to get an idea how somone else reading might hear them.
