My Superman

by JustAFoolInLove   Mar 2, 2005

When I was younger I was dumb
I used to look up to you
I thought you were great
You were my Superman

I loved you with all of my heart
And I wanted to walk your path
To grow to be just like you
Because you were my Superman

If ever I was troubled
You’d rush in to save me
You watched over me
You were my Superman

I could depend on you
And you would always save me
From anything that happened
For you were my Superman

But why have you stopped?
You no longer help me
I’ve no one left to turn to!
Where is my Superman, now?

Which is precisely why I've come to believe that Superman is overrated and over-commercialized.

I mean...just look at Batman. He had to EARN his way to get to the top.

I say you switch over to the "good" side with us batman supporters.
    Woot Gotham!!
...Oh! ANOTHER thing! Superman doesn't just OWN one whole city, now DOES he?
    ...
    i can't remember. Maybe he does...but still.
