What Nature Really Is

by Minkus   Mar 3, 2005

Nature,
It isn’t just
The natural world
It’s not just
Where we get raw materials from
It’s not just there
It’s the gentle touch
Of untainted wind on your face
High on a mountaintop
It’s the strands of light
Weaving themselves
Between the spring branches
Of the living trees
Deep in a forest
Untouched and undisturbed
By anything we do
And that’s why
It should be saved
From machinery
From the black smoke
From us, the great destroyers
From our fires and saws
Nature deserves to be left alone
