Memories of my Life

by Sara   Mar 3, 2005

Memories of a little girl so naive,
running about the leaves.
Memories of a home,
a family torn apart and alone.
Memories of your angelic face,
as with each tear life became a glass vase.
Memories of all the yelling,
with each slap never telling.
Memories of all the tears,
while you sat there drinking beers.
Memories of my little brother,
being thrown to the wall like no other.
Memories of a mother so sad,
as she screams and kicks out our dad.
Memories of a broken heart,
my father tore my world apart.
Memories of his phone call,
with each call I began to fall.
Memories of a depressed 12 year old,
trying to grow up and trying to be bold.
Memories of a darkened day,
my father came back and took my world away.
Memories of blood so red,
sitting there next to my mother dead.
Memories of many sleepless nights,
remembering my mother's bright lights.
Memories of my mother's grave,
patiently waiting for God to save.
Memories of a 16 year old girl,
wanting her mother, never wanting more.
Memories of my life.
