Unsafe inside

Drifting into nothing
Forgotten what was said
Means nothing at all
The past I left was a cold one
Everything I thought was true
Betrayed me

The doors have opened
The brightest light touched my eyes
Hard to see
But all I know to do
Is to move forward
That’s all I have to give now

Nothing in my hands
Nothing in my body
Just an empty soul
Clinging to the light
For some wholeness
Trying to touch the warmth

Sightless friends
Only written voices
Better than the ones here
Yet years apart
Though they know more than any
Why is this?

Feel unsafe with myself
Afraid of self hate
Bent and broken
Lost child inside
Some where I live inside
Meant to live for so much more
