Left

by CynicxSincexBirth   Mar 5, 2005

Once upon a time,
Everything was fine.
No violence
Or hoarsely kept silence.
No shame filled eyes,
or muffled cries.
Where everything is home,
and your never alone.
Where Gangs don't exist,
children don't feel their fathers fist.
Where blood is never spilt
and love is always felt
No more animosity
toward child curiosity.
Everyone is kind
With a peaceful mind
Never left in the raging cold
Never left to be bold,
to make it in-turn
or left to burn.
Everyone is free
And no one feels empty..
...but alas we are here
Left with so much to fear
All on our own.
In a deranged home.
Left to rot
They'll help us - not.
we're left to be frail,
in this fake fairy-tale.

Again, great job. You are added to my fave list. Your poetry is not just words, but words with great feeling behind them. The good stuff that leaves you thinking long after you read it. great job.
