Good things never last

I lay in my bed
As the time creeps by
There’s nothing left to do
Except sit around and cry

Minutes turn to hours
And hours turn to days
My eyes are feeling heavy
And our memories turned to haze

Another hour passes
And I’m still awake in bed
The thing that tears me up inside
Are the thoughts going through my head

The clock strikes twelve
A single tear falls from my eye
This pain will not leave my heart
No matter how hard I try

I cant keep doing this
Your picture suffocates my mind
Why am I stuck thinking of you
When you so easily left me behind

Maybe this is why they say
The past is the past
Cause as far as I can see it now
Good things never last
