This Lonely Night She Cries

by Kris   Mar 7, 2005

I’m sitting here now
With these tears in my eyes
What did I do?
Do I deserve all these lies?

You spoke those words to me
The ones that I believe
Please tell me what I did,
To make you turn and leave?

Was it really so terrible
Being here with me?
You sat there looking,
But what did you really see?

The girl you saw sitting there
As comfortable as could be.
Is not the girl that shows herself,
For everyone to see.

That girl you saw,
Sitting there on the floor
The same one that you kissed,
Before you walked out the door.

The same girl sitting here,
Writing you this poem,
Is the same girl thinking of you
Wishing you were home.

Wishing she could talk to you
She’s so messed up inside.
She wishes you were here for her,
On this lonely night she cried.

Words have been spoken,
Tears have been shed,
Nothing makes any sense
Inside her head.

The words that are spoken
Are they nothing but lies?
She wishes she could talk to you
On this lonely night she cries.

She’ll finally know the truth,
Uncover all the lies
Until that day she’ll sit alone,
On lonely nights she cries.
