Time clock (broken friend)

by Pyrovengance   Mar 8, 2005

You lost a friend.
Thats not my fault.
She's done nothing wrong.
And you've done nothing right.

She can't do it alone.
She is only one girl.
How can she be happy
when all you do is hurt.

She has tried to correct it.
But there's not much she can do.
If only you would listen
You might find out the truth.

How can you sit there
and watch her walk right by.
You know she's been kept in a cage.
She wants to spread her wings and fly.

Look into her eyes.
Then maybe you'll see,
Her hurt, her pain, her anguish
It's all worn beneath.

Just close your eyes
And for one second, see.
What life was like
If you were to be,

Never accepted,
Kept away from you friends,
To hurt for so long,
With your pain caged within.

She tried to explain,
but you never did hear.
You drew a conclusion.
It came from your fears.

Maybe you cant tell
that you've broken her inside.
Maybe you cant see
this pain she hides inside.

You think you know whats going on,
I don't believe you do.
If you cared you wouldn't say that,
Now it's up to you.

All of you have time clocks,
They tick inside your heads.
The beep these little reminders,
they say soon you will be dead.

Fix it all now while you can.
You don't know if there's much time.
I want everyone happy.
I want you all to stay alive.

    Good Poem,
    I really liked this part:
    "Never accepted,
    Kept away from you friends,
    To hurt for so long,
    With your pain caged within."
but in that little part, where it says "you", shouldn't it say "your"?
just wondering, keep up the good work.
