Perfect Day

In the beginning
From the very start
The glistening smile
On your face did not part

I could tell that you thought
This was your perfect day
From the gleam in your eyes
And the kind words you would say

You thought it unique
A fine day indeed
And in this one day
You’d find all that you need

But in a single instant
Your day started to turn
All the joy and peace
Began to crash and to burn

Just a short time ago
You had no worries at all
Now the rain from your eyes
Begins constantly to fall

“How could this happen?”
You ask I you mind
How all of your happiness
Could fall out of line

But in these next lines
There are some things I must tell
About how to pick your self up
And make all bad things well

Here are some words of advice
For those things that upset
Just take some time out and BREATHE
Move on, don’t regret

Now just close your eyes
Then count up to ten
Relax, and start your perfect day
All over again
