Smile

When you left me that day,
you said what i thought you would never say...
"We are better off friends" you say,
"No? Then learn the hard way."

My heart broken in two,
How harsh were you?
We've been friends forever,
But you were so dense, not clever.

My smile faded away
When you went for HER that day.
You've met her for less than a week
THERE'S the love you seek?!?!

My smile faded quickly...
I locked myself away successfully.
A smile never left my face,
It was not real, but replaced.

My heart is cold,
A love that I will never hold,
Never to smile a real smile,
At least not for anything worth my while
