Many issues occupy my time
The light of day let it shine
Family and friends, down the line
Loved ones I wished, that were mine

Tears flow gently down my cheek
Sometimes difficult to speak
My heart is broken and weak
I know whom I seek

Told to leave me alone, every other day
Coming back and adding more
Being in love can be such a chore

The labor of love or what it may be
Has opened my heart and made me see
Never before, have I felt this in me
To give of myself, be all I can be

Sobbing hard on my knee
Praying to God to make her see

Weak kneed and a sad expression
Puppy dog eyes, in your direction
