*This poem was written as a story for a picture.*

He warned her about the book,
but now it was too late.
The wrong turn was taken.
for inside she fought her debate,
If only she could be awake,
she didn't know it would lead to her fate.
The poisonous stem protruded green life,
She didn't know the reasons,
the horrible outcome stung like a knife.
With the changing seasons,
it brought more hate.
He warned her about the book, but now it was too late.

The reasons for her death,
have now been uncovered.
He never left,
he just wanted to love her.
He was too old,
she was too young.
He thought she went cold,
his love barely clung,
overcome with hate,
He warned her about the book, but now it was too late.

*The picture was of a girl, beside an open book, dead. The book had green stems coming from the bindings.*

Oh my gosh, Katie, I had to do the same thing with the same picture! Although, mine had to be a story... it ended up being nine pages long. My teacher was surprised. I luved yours way better than mine. Very alfresco, girl!
