If I Can't Help, What Do I Do?

by JustAFoolInLove   Mar 9, 2005

What was once a small flame
Has swelled to disaster
And thought no one’s to blame
My heart still beats faster
Every time I hear her name

I bleed from inside
Openly for her
My heart’s cuts are wide
I’m hurt bad, I’m sure
When I see her pain-filled eyes

I want to help her badly
But where should I start?
I love this girl madly
With all of my heart
And I want to steal her sorrow

She always is target
For ridicule and blame
And when emotions hit
She feels nothing but shame
Of her very own life

Why, oh, why?
Can’t I be the one?
To make her sadness die
So she can have fun
For this, I’d do anything

When you want to be, you can be SUCH a romantic person.
And I can see....you joined your efforts with your own self-contempt to write this poem.

    Glad you're healtier. :o)

You can't make it go away.. You have to let her (for herself) make it go away... friends can only guide them to the door they are the ones that have to walk thro it.
