The Thin Veil

The Thin Veil

Through the thin veil we wonder
Seeking out that true love
Many times torn asunder
Emulating a broken wing dove
Holding tight to that thin veil of hope
Promises taken to heart
For being able to cope
Is a glorious way to start
Your promises never came to light
Our failures devastated my esteem
What you did was nowhere near right
But your eyes maintained that gleam
Tears for our loss, filled most of my days
But in my heart, you will always be
I want you back, and conceived many different ways
If you look in my eyes my love you will truly see
That my love for you will always be
Interwoven amid the lace, open for the world to see
My goals are real, and I hold them near
Looking Through the veil of hope, while joined in God at the altar of love
KK you will forever be in my heart, I hope for your happiness
Even if it does not include me
For that defines ‘Unconditional Love”
