Fragile It Can Be

by Angel Sanctuary ©   Mar 10, 2005

From a distance I watched it crumble
A fragile friendship beginning to shatter
I sent words to mend the wounds
Bandaging up the scars forming
Yet every time I try to mend it, try to help
Another cut another harsh word is spoken
A new story I hear about who did what
Hearing all sides of the story
trying not to choose who was the one that did wrong
Because in the end, with a fight like this one
Everyone did something wrong
Everyone is to blame not just one not just two
But everyone
They all have sight to see but are blinded
Blinded by simple words caused by passion
The passion of anger and rage
One asks me what I should do.
The other is done asking
Just wants to be free
They tell me the same thing everyday
Expecting a new answer, a new bandage
I’ve said everything I could say
Yet they never listened to me
And now the one still asks what I should do
All I can say now is,
“The battle is lost and no one won”
Sad to see something so fragile break
Something so precious be taken away
By simple words that man created
The wounds will not heal anymore
The cuts are far too deep for my words to penetrate
