Her world is dark
Like the park
On the night of her dreams

She'd seen him before
But not like this
She knew he'd be someone she'd miss

His kiss was sweet
It was her first
The voice in her head whispered " I love him"

Somehow he made her whole
When he left, he took her soul
Will the pain cease?

Distance tore them apart
She lays in bed
Trying to rid a broken heart

Her tears fall down her face
Gracefully reaching her lips
She's no stranger to the taste

The pain she feels
She hides well
Until the night, the tears swell

When she's alone
She remembers how if felt
To be held in the arms that loved.

The situation leaves her bitter
She doesn't think it'll get better
The scars run deep

She looks in the mirror
Her image blurred by teary eyes
Love stole her happiness

She remembers his face
His eyes, so beautiful
His lips, so soft

She remembers when
All she could do is smile
She was happy, in love

She wants nothing more
Than to be together
But he found someone he can love forever.
