Rainbow

by DarkOpex   Mar 12, 2005

You said you'd always be there,
You promised never ending love.
You gave my darkened sky a rainbow,
From way up above.

You said my looks did not matter,
And you loved all my flaws.
You promised me forever love,
With no barriers or walls.

You said I made your day bright,
Though a dull day never came.
You promised I'd always be yours,
Even if you got the fame.

You said you'd always be there,
You promised never ending love.
You gave my darkened sky a rainbow,
From way up above.

You said I shined like that special star,
Gleaming in the night.
You said that when I was near,
It was a never ending flight.

You whispered crazy things in the dark,
Like "I love you oh so much."
But now that I see who you are,
I see it was just a bluff.

You said you'd always be there,
You promised never ending love.
You gave my darkened sky a rainbow,
From way up above.

I thought you were the one,
The one that would be true.
Especially when you whispered to me,
"I really do love you."

Those promises of yours,
Those silly, silly ones.
The ones I somewhat miss now,
I miss your voice, Hun.

You said you'd always be there,
You promised never ending love.
You gave my darkened sky a rainbow,
From way up above.

I want your arms around me,
But I know it's so untrue.
I know you never really meant it.
I hate you, I really do.

I don't miss you,
I truly don't.
Forever love you,
I promise I won't.

You said you'd always be there,
You promised never ending love.
You gave my darkened sky a rainbow,
From way up above.

You promised me the world,
You promised me your love.
You went out and bought me,
The perfect white dove.

And now it's crushed to bits,
Beneath my foot.
Like you did to my heart,
The one you took.

You said you'd always be there,
You promised never ending love.
You gave my darkened sky a rainbow,
From way up above.

But now I want you dead,
Dead as you can be.
I want you to feel hallow, empty,
The way you left me.

Tears slid down my cheek,
Because you're never there.
And I can't feel love,
Not even in the air.

My sky has gone a bit darker,
Sad to say the least.
The rainbow I let fall to the ground,
and crumble at my feet.
